Meet the PMA Staff

Nikki Gervais - Executive Director

Nikki has been with the Parksville Museum since April 2013;  she wears many hats at the museum but tries to wear only one at a time. Her job ranges from general bureaucracy to the implementation of new museum collection strategies, and exhibit principles.

Her academic background is in Archaeology and Museum Studies, and finds the Museum to be the perfect balance between creativity and the application of academic museum principles. Her biggest challenge has been modernising certain aspects of the museum without losing the rustic charm that everyone has come to know and love. She looks forward to continuing to expand and improve on the way that Parksville Museum tells the fascinating story of the area.
